Obama's regret over Libya conflict #CapNews

US President Barack Obama has said the "worst mistake" of his presidency was probably a lack of planning for the aftermath of the overthrow of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi by Nato-backed forces in 2011.

"Probably failing to plan for the day after what I think was the right thing to do in intervening in Libya," he said, when asked in a Fox News interview about the worst mistake he made in office.

Mr Obama is due to hand power to a new president in January following the end of his two terms.

Libya has been in chaos since Col Gaddafi was killed, with rival governments and militias fighting for power. #CapNews
